Transportation and Erection/Jacking Leg Elevation System

The erection of A truss (375m) weighing 15,600 ton and the portion of B truss (50m) weighing 2,100ton was carried out using a temporary road constructed on the shore. In general, the bridge erection on the land is done by the member erection method using crawler cranes.
In the Bridge, the jacking leg elevation system that could erect a span section(125m) at once was employed in order to save construction time and achieve high quality. The jacking leg elevation system constitutes of four jacking leg, large steel pipe with the diameter of 2.4m and the height of 40m, and 12 Strand jack (three for each leg), capacity of 560t per set.
