The suspension bridge and the
truss bridge of the Younjong Grand Bridge has the steel deck.
To prevent steel deck from corrosion and damage, the pavements
on the bridge need to function as water protection layer,
too.
Therefore, they need to be water protective and flexible enough
to afford the transformation of the steel deck.
In the Bridge, improved asphalt(thickness: 35mm) were applied
for surface course and guss asphalt mixtures(thickness: 40mm)
for binder course.
