Now that the footing is made
of mass concrete, heat is generated due to reaction of
hydration during the curing. This heat may cause cracks
of the concrete. To prevent this, cooling pipes were installed
inside of the concrete and cooling water was circulated
to cool down the concrete. Heated water from the cooling
pipes was thrown away. |
