Tower/Pneumatic Caisson/Sinking and Excavation

To sink the caisson into a required depth, sinking and excavation was performed in the working chamber located at the bottom of the caisson. The pneumatic caisson method has been associated with the caisson disease that caused by long working hours under high air pressure or insufficient de-pressurizing time after working under high air pressure. In the construction of the Bridge, the risk of the caisson disease was reduced by employing the unmanned excavation system.
