Dehumidification System for the Stiffening Truss

The dehumidification system has been applied to the inside of the upper box as a corrosion protection method.

The dehumidification system is to suppress the rust generation by dehumidifying the inside air with drying machines.

It was reported that rust would not initiated when the relative humidity inside the box was kept below 60%.

The system has been applied in Europe since 1970 and proven to be effective measures. In the Yongjong Grand Bridge, when one of the sensors inside the box finds out that the relative humidity is higher than 50%, the dehumidifiers begin to work until the humidity at every sensor drops below 40%.
