Jacking Leg Elevating System
The part of the Bridge (L=425M) was divided into 4 blocks and erected using strand jacks. The applied erection method can account for the shape change of the truss during the erection.

The upper chord with high stiffness are used as the supports of the jacking leg. Therefore, the lifting frame was not necessary.
Furthermore, the erection unit can be lengthened so that the number of the field joints can be reduced.

The equipments used during the erection were four jacking legs (three 600tonf strand jacks/jacking leg), the skid bearing to be used as the support during the skidding of the block of the intermediate support, two 100tonf strand jacks, and so forth. The erection started with the site assembly of smaller blocks. The four jacking legs were installed on the upper chord supports.

Initially, the lifting of 0.5M was conducted for safety check. After the initial lifting (5.06M), the block of the intermediate support was skidded to the top of the pier. Then, the rest of the truss was lifted 13.6m and the large block and the small block was connected by splicing all the members.

The connected large block was moved using four 250tonf hydraulic jacks placed on the bottom of the jacking leg.
