Large Block Erection Method |

The part of the superstructure
of the Bridge(L=750M) was erected by the large block
erection method. The large block erection method
saves construction cost and time. Furthermore, the
number of the filed joints can be reduced. The erection
of the stiffening truss was started with the erection
of the side spans. The closing block was erected
after the erected blocks were set back(200mm) to
the outside. To have the erection accuracy of the
large block, the setting beam and the equipments
on the top of the temporary supports such as pot
shoe and 4 hydraulic jacks were placed. |
