The
bridge monitoring system is installed on the suspension bridge
of the Yongjong Bridge and the arch truss bridge of the Bangwha
Bridge. The systems monitor the dynamic and static behavior
of the bridge using variety of the sensors such as accelerometers,
seismometers, displacement meters, and strain gauges. The system
would help to extend the service life of the bridge and reduce
maintenance cost by allowing early recognition of problems.
