The rail type expansion
joints were placed on the upper deck and the finger
type expansion joints were placed on the lower deck.The
allowed movements of the rail type joint is 640 mm for
the suspension bridge and 480 mm for the truss bridge.
The finger joints were installed after the pavement
because heat generated during paving might damage the
expansion joint.
